“What’s been on my mind Today?-My new Series.
Every day we hear ,listen, read, see and think -we get fed by thoughts, ideas, worldviews, beliefs, unbelief ,assertions, theories …. whether aware or not!
This series is about those Random/Intended thoughts – mine and those I hear/read along the day!
They are raw impulsive musings – especially mine- sometimes only making sense in my context ! The wording is often weak! Most are -spontaneous reflections in their ‘embryonic’ form that will eventually get their own post once they reach full term!
SO,What’s been on my mind Today ?
[June 11 Mon]
The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination and intention of all human thinking was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved at heart.
-Genesis 6:5-6 (AMP)
End of a day -it was a happy fasting
It was definitely easier the last few times—something must have be broken in the spiritual realms….
Heaviness is gone!
Empty before filling …
We mix up ‘being’ and ‘being used’ by God!
Everybody is a prophet
God uses everyone to speaks , confirm ..
Sin is bondage
U gotta get set free!
Today fasting is very much more smoother than last times….am I on my way to a easier season???#lightness
Funny how I am not married- never been but God keeps sending people with marriage/ relationships issues my way! Which I end up …..counseling???!!!
And he will [himself] go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn back the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient and incredulous and unpersuadable to the wisdom of the upright [which is the knowledge and holy love of the will of God]–in order to make ready for the Lord a people [perfectly] prepared [in spirit, adjusted and disposed and placed in the right moral state].
–Luke 1:17 (AMP)
One cannot hear from God with a rebellious Heart
First,The heart needs to get back to an open position before the message can get in,grow and produce obedience…..could it be what John’s ministry was about? Or Maybe to ‘wake them up’?? His message was quite strong, so maybe he was to get them out of their slumber- wake up call…..after all God hadn’t spoken in 500 years….or that’s right , maybe that’s it!
I still don’t understand why God needed John to prepare the way for Him….?Couldn’t Jesus do 2 in 1??
When Jesus heard it, He withdrew from there privately in a boat to a solitary place. But when the crowds heard of it, they followed Him [by land] on foot from the towns.
–Matthew 14:13 (AMP)
Jesus can’t get some time alone as the needs are overwhelming 🙂
When John the Baptist heard in prison about the things that Christ was doing, he sent some of his disciples to him. “Tell us, ” they asked Jesus, “are you the one John said was going to come, or should we expect someone else?” Jesus answered, “Go back and tell John what you are hearing and seeing: the blind can see, the lame can walk, those who suffer from dreaded skin diseases are made clean, the deaf hear, the dead are brought back to life, and the Good News is preached to the poor. How happy are those who have no doubts about me!/And blessed is the one who is not offended by me./’God blesses those who do not turn away because of me.'””
-Matthew 11:2-6 (GNT)
This is the trap!!
God had chosen John for a certain task- that was to prepare the way-maybe with a limited revelation of what The Way ,was to be!
In spite of everything he knew, John didn’t apprehend precisely what God has in mind.He was ‘too’ focused on his specific mission!
And when God showed up after John had done his part -cleared the way – John himself didn’t recognize His hand and almost rejected it! As per in Jesus rebuke!
He was ‘confused’ with the way God was going about doing things!
John was expecting God to maybe crack down on his people , he was like everyone else in Israel expecting a political savior not a Jesus going around blessing, healing people.
So he was confused with what Jesus was doing – it didn’t fit into his understanding of Gods plan’ his small revelation of Gods promise!
We need to understand that our part is always a small part in the Greater picture- we so like to limit god to our own revelation-we shall always let the box open!
Where are the fruits of my obedience ….?
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee and escape from the wrath and indignation [of God against disobedience] that is coming? Bring forth fruit that is consistent with repentance [let your lives prove your change of heart]; And do not presume to say to yourselves, We have Abraham for our forefather; for I tell you, God is able to raise up descendants for Abraham from these stones! And already the ax is lying at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire……..
-Matthew 3:7-11 (AMP)
John message is very strong…
This is he who was mentioned by the prophet Isaiah when he said, The voice of one crying in the wilderness (shouting in the desert), Prepare the road for the Lord, make His highways straight (level, direct).
–Matthew 3:3 (AMP)
IN THOSE days there appeared John the Baptist, preaching in the Wilderness (Desert) of Judea And saying, Repent (think differently; change your mind, regretting your sins and changing your conduct), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
-Matthew 3:1-2 (AMP)
Did you realize that All the prophets were speaking to the converted!
There are times in church history where the weeds get more numerous than the wheat?! That’s when a lot of sleeping has taken place, Compromises have become common in the life of the church ! When Christendom has taken over Christianity! When LIFE is replaced by Religion! When Fellowship has been replaced by Culture !That’s when ….Revival is needed!
Matthew 13: 24—Parable of the weeds!
Interesting how weeds in the bible is related to the Enemy putting people to sleep mentally!
O you who bring good tidings to Zion, get up to the high mountain. O you who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength, lift it up, be not afraid; say to the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
-Isaiah 40:9 (AMP)
The grass withers, the flower fades, when the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely [all] the people are like grass.
-Isaiah 40:7 (AMP)
A voice says, Cry [prophesy]! And I said, What shall I cry? [The voice answered, Proclaim:] All flesh is as frail as grass, and all that makes it attractive [its kindness, its goodwill, its mercy from God, its glory and comeliness, however good] is transitory, like the flower of the field.
-Isaiah 40:6 (AMP)
All flesh is Transitory!!!
And the glory (majesty and splendor) of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.
-Isaiah 40:5 (AMP)
-Fill u with my glory and reveal myself to you!!!!????-
Every valley shall be lifted and filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked and uneven shall be made straight and level, and the rough places a plain.
-Isaiah 40:4 (AMP)
A voice of one who cries: Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord [clear away the obstacles]; make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God!
-Isaiah 40:3 (AMP)
