There is a seed that God put in Moses heart regarding his ‘calling’,for now it is just a concern,a stirring,a passion for his people,a desire to help them ,a dream maybe to set them free, an anger at the wrongs he witnesses ;its nothing more,Moses doesn’t know more about it,but He can feel it in his bones-the stirring- and he is trying with the understanding that he has to do something about it.he goes ahead with what he has in his heart,He does it awkwardly but does it nevertheless and …failed!
Same with us ,I think when God puts something in our heart connected to what he calls and eventually established us to do .But there is lots of tried & tested seasons before God empowers us to carry it out.It usually starts big,we are on fire,passionate about it and think that we are ready ,that is when we just go ahead with our own strength ,God generally intervenes and ‘cool us down’ ,usually with a journey in the ‘nothing-is-happening-land’,then in HIS Timing and will come and get us……
There are probably different stages in that ‘nothing-season- ,one of them is surely ‘Frustration’ ,awful feeling that is heighten by the lack of power,your heart is stirred but you cannot seem to achieve anything meaningful ,you even start to doubt if you were were ever ‘called’ to do that thing on your heart !!.When you hope that the very people you are sent to, will encourage you and ‘see’ the gift of God ,they don’t !! So you are left helpless,alone,bent on screwing up a lot -as the burning-passion remains-until a ‘big mistake ‘will have you flee as far as possible from that very thing you were meant to do ………So you think!
