and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him for three months.
What do they mean by that? How can you see that the baby was special?Don’t all parents think so ? Does the verse mean that they had a revelation from God that the child was special’? Indeed in Hebrews 11-23–it is said that they acted on faith-and faith always springs from revelation!
V 12
Glancing this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.
It looks like a premeditated crime to me??,Moses the murderer? Ah Gods ways,God’s choice !
Obviously Moses knew his calling-according to -Acts 7-25-He was aware of his mission! But at that time He was trying to make it happen by the only way he knew how to -by force! The Egyptian’s way ! That’s us once we know God’s calling for our life but get impatient,restless,we take matter in our own hands and screw up!
V 14
The man said, “Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?”
Irony of History,Basically Moses is told ‘who do you think you are’? Well yeah that s exactly who he has been made to be ,The one that will set you free,except that he is trying to achieve it in his own way and at the wrong time!
A ‘short’ stay in the wilderness to learn about God’s ways is required!
